Foundational Doctrines of the Bible is a ten unit correspondence Bible course that can also be used for group study.

PURPOSE OF COURSE

This course is designed to assist in and encourage the study of the Holy Scriptures.  This course is not designed or intended to indoctrinate in the beliefs of any denomination or group but rather to direct the student to the Bible as their only source for doctrine.

FOR THIS COURSE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:

King James Version of the Bible

We will also use several Bible helps in our study

Vine’s dictionary

Englishman’s Concordance

Strong’s Concordance

Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary

COURSE LAYOUT

Each unit consists of unit and lesson introductions, teacher outline, reading assignments and exams for each lesson.  Questions in each lesson come from the information contained in the unit and lesson introductions and from the assigned reading.  The course may be taken online or the lessons can be mailed to your home and the answer sheets returned to us for grading.  This course operates through the offerings of our students and supporters. 

Suggested offering for entire course:

Online students $50.00

Mail students $100.00

Upon completion of the course a certificate will be granted from Open Door Outreach Ministries.  A ceremony will occur at our annual campmeeting for those who can attend.  Credit will also be given for those interested in pursuing a degree in Theology from Southwest Georgia Theological Seminary.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR TAKING BIBLE COURSE ONLINE

You will receive the Bible Course two units at a time as an email attachment.  When you open the attachment, you will be prompted to download Adobe Reader if it is not on you computer.  If so, follow  the instructions which appear. 

If you are not prompted and do not have Adobe Reader, please follow  these instructions:

• Go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/
  

• Click on the Download button at the bottom of the page
  

• Follow the instructions given on the website
  

• After Adobe Reader has been loaded on your computer, open the Bible Course attachments that we emailed to you from Open Door Outreach Ministries.
  

Within each lesson, you will see light blue text boxes, within those text boxes you will be able to type your answers  in the blanks.

You will be able to save a copy of the Bible Course to your computer with the completed text boxes. 

Graded exams will be returned to you via email and additional units will be sent to you until the course is completed.
